What’s an “N” Engine?

At the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis this past March, Navistar announced that their new engines equipped with DPF and SCR systems will now be referred to as “N” series engines.

 

The MaxxForce 13, which now uses the new emission systems, is now designated as the “N13” engine and is available for order. The next engine MaxxForce 9/10 is in production and should be available next month.
