Sneak Peek at TruckSeries — Our New Software Suite for Class 4-8 Trucks
Streamlines workflow so service professionals can work more efficiently
For more than a year, our commercial vehicle group has been working on an exciting new platform for our software suite for medium- and heavy-duty trucks. Look for an official announcement next week, but in the meantime here’s a sneak peek at TruckSeries and how it’s going to make life in the shop so much better for service professionals who work on Class 4-8 vehicles.
After untold hours of development and testing, we’ll be launching TruckSeries to the first group of customers next week. We’re really excited to introduce TruckSeries — it’s the only comprehensive repair information software suite of its kind available for Class 4-8 trucks. It gives truck techs a convenient, one-stop data resource for all of the estimating, diagnostic trouble code and repair information resources they need to repair trucks accurately and efficiently.
The first thing to understand about Truck Series is that it’s built on a modular platform, allowing users to access multiple applications from a single login. We’ve combined all the content in our original online truck products, Tractor-Trailer.net, Medium-Truck.net, Repair-Connect.net and TruckLabor into a single application. Previously, each of the truck products was accessed on its own individual website, with a separate login required for each. Now each product is presented as a separate module inside the TruckSeries application.

Back in 2006, Mitchell 1 introduced the industry’s first online resource for repair information for heavy-duty trucks. Before that, the only available all-makes repair information was limited mechanical data in book format. In the same way that delivering repair information in digital format helped speed up the diagnostic and repair process back then, TruckSeries is going to take that efficiency to the next level.
Current subscribers to Mitchell 1 online truck products will transition to the new platform in a phased approach starting this month and continuing through April. Throughout the transition we’ll be providing additional information here in the Truck Blog, so check back often.
