ProDemand Update: Improvements to Heading Navigation, Plate-to-VIN, Community Module

We’ve just released a series of new improvements for ProDemand including headings navigation, plate-to-VIN and community features.

Heading navigation improvement:  As you open content in ProDemand, you’ll notice that the headings for information have been updated to make your navigation easier. First, we’ve added number labels to the headings so that you know how many heading sections are in an article. For example, you’ll now see “1 of 3,” “2 of 3,” etc. in the heading. We’ve also added +/- icons to indicate clearly that you can open and close the headings.

The headings are useful for finding information quickly and are arranged in a code-component-system format.  In the example below for a water pump lookup, the heading labeled “1 of 2” includes all of the water pump information. The “2 of 2” heading includes the information for the entire cooling system.

Plate-to-VIN remembers state selection:  Unless you live in a state that starts with the letter A, you previously have had to scroll through the list of states each time you use the Plate-to-VIN feature. We’ve now improved that experience so that ProDemand automatically defaults with the last state looked up. This saves you time because most vehicles in your shop are likely from the state where you do business.

View Community threads specific to your vehicle:  The ProDemand Community module has a new, default filter that allows you to view only those community threads that are related to your current selected vehicle. Now when you navigate to Community, you’ll see only threads related to the vehicle you are working on. If you would like to view community threads for all vehicles, simply use the filter to toggle to All Vehicles.
