Facebook Contest Winners Enjoy AAPEX in Las Vegas
Mitchell 1 was delighted to host Paul and Ellen Cook, owners of J & R Auto Service in Oshkosh, WI, for three nights and four days in Las Vegas to attend the 2012 AAPEX show. The Cooks were the lucky winners of the “Join Mitchell 1 in Vegas for AAPEX/SEMA” Facebook sweepstakes.
When Ellen “Liked” the Mitchell 1 Facebook page in September and entered her husband, Paul, in the contest, she didn’t really give it another thought. So, when she answered the phone a few weeks later and heard that Paul had won the grand prize trip to Las Vegas, she couldn’t believe her ears. “This is the first time we’ve won anything like this…. it was wonderful,” she said.
Paul and Ellen made the most of their time in Las Vegas, taking in two shows, some great meals, a little gambling and a lot of walking, including some trekking around the AAPEX tradeshow floor. They were honored guests at a product launch reception at the Mitchell 1 booth for SureTrack™, Mitchell 1’s brand new all-in-one diagnostic resource. “We were really impressed – SureTrack is most exciting new product we saw at AAPEX,” said Ellen.
Paul’s family has owned J & R Auto Service since 1957, and Paul took over the business when his father retired in 1988. Paul and Ellen’s son, Brad, is a technician in the shop and will be the third generation to run the business when Paul retires. They’ve been Mitchell 1 customers since 2005 and currently use Manager and ProDemand in the shop. “We just love Mitchell – can’t imagine living without Mitchell,” said Ellen.
With a legacy of more than 50 successful years in business, J & R Auto Service has 12 bays and a staff of four ASE-certified technicians who have over 90 years of experience between them. Paul and Ellen run the business together and take great pride in their shop’s reputation for excellence. When asked about their secret to running a successful business, Ellen notes their staff’s depth of knowledge and dedication to quality work, honesty and customer service. “We know all our customers by name and the history of their vehicles,” she adds. It’s a winning combination – just like Paul and Ellen!
