Tips & Tricks: Maintenance Light Reset Procedures in Medium-Truck.net

Cars and light trucks have been equipped with oil change and maintenance reminder lights for many years. This technology is starting to appear in medium and heavy trucks. The illustration below shows one example from a 2008 Chevrolet C6.

In Medium-Truck.net, look under the General Information category, then select Reset Procedures. If there are any reset procedures for your vehicle, they can be found in MAINTENANCE LIGHT RESET PROCEDURES – MEDIUM & HEAVY TRUCKS.

In the illustrated example, the reset procedures for the GM Oil Life System are included for Duramax and Caterpillar engines and gasoline engines. Recently, we also added the prognostics system reset procedures for Allison automatic transmissions with 4th generation controls.
