Dan Ramirez, general manager of Mitchell 1’s Automotive Repair Solutions group, will speak at the San Diego Software Industry Council’s (SDSIC) monthly BIG Meeting on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007. The presentation, Product Management: Gathering Customer Requirements, will focus on the experience of gathering customer feedback and maximizing the benefits of getting customers involved in the product design process. The presentations will be from two points of view, Web site and software development. The event will start at 5:30 p.m. at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, located at 12235 El Camino Real, Suite 200, San Diego, Calif.

“When you develop new Web site and software products, there are two questions you want to ask – are you involving your customers throughout the design process and what methods do you use to discover the features a customer is truly seeking” said Ramirez. “This month’s SDSIC meeting will help participants answer those questions.”
In his current position, Ramirez oversees product management and business management for Mitchell 1’s repair information product line consisting of the OnDemand and ShopKey branded repair and transmission products.

Joining Ramirez will be Reid Carr, CEO of Red Door Interactive. Carr founded Red Door Interactive in 2002. He advises a broad range of companies on their Web initiatives.
