This annual award is presented to an industry partner that has gone above and beyond the call to support NACAT.

Mitchell 1 has received the 2009 “Friends of NACAT” Award during the North American Council of Automotive Teachers (NACAT) Conference held recently at the Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, N.C. This annual award is presented to an industry partner that has gone above and beyond the call to support NACAT. The decision for the award is based on the simple principle that a “friend in need, is a friend indeed.” As featured in Aftermarket News.

Mitchell 1 was chosen as this year’s award recipient based on the following criteria:

• Has been a long time supporter of NACAT;
• Has been a participant in the NACAT conference trade show for several years;
• Has done something that was “above and beyond” a normal business practice;
• Has had a positive impact on NACAT’s membership; and
• Has not won the award before.

“Mitchell 1 and NACAT have had a wonderful relationship for many years as we’ve worked together to honor students and teachers who have demonstrated a commitment to educational excellence in the automotive repair industry,” said Karen Wagner, senior marketing manager, Mitchell 1. “We’d like to thank everyone at NACAT for recognizing our efforts to help improve automotive service education, as well as serve the needs of automotive educators throughout North America.”
