Not Your Ordinary Wiring Diagram
When it comes to organizing paraphernalia for maintenance and repairs, technicians understand that it is paramount to keep commonly used tools within easy reach at all times. You want to know where your items are located so you can grab them as needed while executing your “craft.”
The same can be said when it comes to navigating through Mitchell 1’s TruckSeries truck repair software. The new and enhanced wiring diagrams available in TruckSeries provides a “one-stop shop” environment where all your needs are available with only few clicks away. How convenient is that?
The wiring diagrams allow for easy access to other relevant repair information originating from the Fault Code, including specifications, testing, component connection, location and much more. Because as we know, going back and forth among multiple screen and clicks with the mouse can lead to wasted time and even carpal tunnel.
In Figure 1 below, take a look at the enlarged image of a wiring diagram that pertains to the OBDII Code P0671 – Cylinder 1 Glow Plug Control for a2020 Isuzu NRR truck with Isuzu 4HK1 RJS – N Series 4 CYL engine.
Every time you click on a blue-colored component name and circuit number, it is guaranteed that there is accessible information for each. The primary circuit is highlighted in yellow and the secondary circuits are not. When you place the cursor over any of the colored circuits, it changes into a thick dark blue to purple line.

Given that you decide to work on the Glow Plug Control Module first, all you have to do is click on the component name and a pop-up window appears on the left side of the screen. The screen then displays the various categories of information available for that particular component, which are highlighted in pale blue as you move the cursor up and down on the list (See Figure 2). This is so much easier and faster than having to navigate back to the previous page and searching for the specific fault code or component.

Let’s say you want to learn more about how the Glow Plug System functions – or if there is any component testing and programming present. All you need to do is click on the Component Operation or After Repair Info respectively (See Figure 3) and voila, the information is now right in front of you!

When utilizing this feature on the Wiring Diagrams cards, one thing to consider is that not all components have the same number of categories of information. Some components will only have five and some will have eight. But the blue-colored component name will always have information available once you click on them.
The bottom line is that Mitchell 1’s wiring diagrams will ensure all the information you need is easily accessible for faster repairs, keeping you and your customers happy through each step of the process.
