SAN DIEGO, Calif., March 31 – Kristy Coffman, director of Mitchell 1’s Commercial Vehicle Group, was named a Recognized Associate by the Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) of the American Trucking Associations at their 2026 Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition held in Nashville, Tenn., March 15-19.
The TMC Recognized Associate designation is a prestigious award given to associate members who have made significant, measurable contributions to TMC and the trucking maintenance industry. It honors a high level of involvement, leadership, and impact in advancing maintenance practices, technology and industry standards. Recipients are nominated and selected based on their achievements, making it a distinguished professional milestone within the industry.

Coffman has been active with TMC since she began her work at Mitchell 1, bringing comprehensive web-based truck repair information to the commercial vehicle industry 20 years ago. She has played a key role in incorporating TMC Recommended Practices (RPs) within Mitchell 1’s TruckSeries repair information suite, making it easy for technicians to access the comprehensive collection of over 500 technical documents within the online application.
Coffman also leads Mitchell 1’s representation at state and national TMC SuperTech competitions as well as TMCFutureTech events. Mitchell 1 serves as the ongoing administrator of the Service Information Skills Stations, utilizing TruckSeries to assess competitors’ ability to use web-based programs to diagnose and fix vehicles properly.
