EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
We are looking for an Associate Automotive Technical Editor to join our team.
- San Diego (On-site)
- Full-Time, Associate
- Pay Rate: $20/hr (May vary based on skills, experience, and location)
As a Technical Editor, your primary responsibilities include researching, developing, and editing automotive repair and diagnostic information for incorporation into the Mitchell 1 database.
Other essential responsibilities:
- Research and compile repair, diagnostic, and other pertinent data and input into the online computer system. The information must be technically accurate and input in a format consistent with established guidelines.
- Once fully trained, maintain established productivity standards while maintaining an acceptable level of quality.
- Suggest improvements and/or enhancements for Mitchell Repair products in response to customer input or based on field knowledge of user needs.
- Maintain knowledge of comparable competitive products.
- Prepare and submit project status reports for each assignment as requested.
- Maintain a professional and cooperative attitude within the Editorial Department and with all support groups.
- Must achieve a minimal working knowledge of current automotive technology, emphasizing current group assignments.
We are looking for a skilled Auto Technician to join our team as a Product Content Support Rep.

- Full-Time, Associate
- Pay rate: $22 – $24/hr (Based on experience)

Responsibilities:
- Respond to customers politely and attentively and always maintain a professional, helpful attitude.
- Provide immediate determination of customer needs. To resolve or route call appropriately.
- Document all inquiries received, via telephone, email or correspondence.
- Assist customers with product content questions.
- Accurately update and maintain the incidents in the tracking software package.
- Follow procedures set in the product content support job guidelines.
- 50%+ of the day is on the telephone helping customers.
Schedule: Mon-Fri (8am – 4:30 pm) no weekends. Overtime available after training.
We are looking for a Truck/Auto Technician with commercial vehicle or diesel repair experience looking for a career change.

- Pay rate: $21/hr – $24/hr (Based on experience)
Occasional overtime as required by business needs.
A hybrid schedule may be available after training.

Primary Role and Responsibilities:
- Research and compile diagnostic, repair, and other pertinent data.
- Verify the technical accuracy and consistency of information within established guidelines as it relates to maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of Class 4 through 8 trucks (Commercial Vehicles).
- Work well in a team environment.
- Suggests improvements and/or enhancements to Mitchell1’s Commercial Vehicle Group (CVG) products in response to customer input or based on knowledge of user needs.
- Maintains knowledge of related competitive products.
Required Skills:
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with PC and Standard Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
- ASE certifications are preferred.
- Heavy Duty Truck knowledge is a plus++.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma required, with auto shop class(s) preferred.
- AA degree or Vo-Tech certificate, with commercial vehicle diagnostic and repair emphasis, preferred, or minimum 1 year of recent hands-on commercial vehicle industry experience with an emphasis on diagnostics.
- Completion of at least one college-level English writing course or equivalent.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
