Mitchell 1’s latest update to ProDemand includes a number of user-interface enhancements for easier navigation. See the list below for the features updated in this latest release.
Updated display of ProView content
The ProView information display has been updated to show codes and symptoms relative to components in two columns. This new layout makes it easier to read and understand the real-world relational data in the graph. Mileage charts for the components are included on the same page by scrolling down to view the specific results. See Figure 1 below.
Have you tried ProView? The ProView diagnostic troubleshooting tool is most useful when you have two or more trouble codes. ProView allows you to see how different combinations of codes relate to failed components. Notice how in Figure 1, with a P0171, the fuel filter is the most likely failed component. In Figure 2, with p0171 and a p0175 codes selected together, the mass airflow sensor is the most likely culprit. ProView can save you valuable diagnostic time by pointing you in the right direction when troubleshooting multi-code issues.
VIN engine character as part of vehicle identification
When identifying a vehicle, the engine selection now includes the engine VIN character when applicable to help you differentiate among different engines. This is especially useful in situations when the engine size is not visually obvious or when the OEM has two or more engine types of the same size.
Updated order display of Quick Links
Technical Service Bulletins have been moved to the far left of the Quick Links ribbon, giving them a more prominent location on the page. This change was made in direct response to requests from technicians who told us they wanted easier access to TSBs prior to starting a job. The Service Manual has been moved to the far right.
Code description added to information headings
When viewing information for a code in the 1Search module, the code description has been added to the top level heading.
