Truck Technicians Revving up for Skills Testing Season!
It’s hard to believe that skills testing season has rolled around already! Truck service professionals around the U.S. are busy revving up and prepping for the annual state technician skills competitions that lead up to the big TMC SuperTech National Technician Skills Competition in the fall. For us here at Mitchell 1, this means that we’re busy preparing the tests and equipment that will be used in those state competitions.
Since the beginning of the competitions over 10 years ago, Mitchell 1 has sponsored the national competition and runs the Service Information skills station each year, testing technicians on their ability to use computers and web-based truck repair information software to diagnose and fix vehicles properly.
In addition to the national event, Mitchell 1 also supports and participates in many state technician skills competitions. Our TruckSeries suite of software for the trucking industry will be used for testing at the national competition and state competitions this year. The software covers information required to diagnose and correctly repair all makes of Class 4-8 trucks.
