The Wynters: Shop Management Customers From the Beginning

Welcome, Terry & Kay!

The team at Mitchell 1 had the absolute pleasure of hosting two of our longest-standing customers this week, when Terry and Kay Wynter from Terry Wynter Auto Service in Fort Meyers, Florida, stopped by while visiting San Diego.  As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of providing shop management software for the car care industry, it was a special treat for some of us at Mitchell 1 to spend time with two of our original shop management customers.

Terry and Kay launched their business  in 1996, and not long after they opened their shop’s doors they were using Series I – the predecessor to today’s Manager SE shop management software.  Not only have The Wynters built one of the most successful shops in the country, but they’ve been dedicated to helping improve the industry though their involvement in organizations like the Automotive Service Association (ASA).

Taking their shop to a level most small business owners would aspire to reach clearly hasn’t gone to their heads.  Terry and Kay are also two of the kindest and likeable people you’ll ever meet.  We’re thankful to have spent a little time with the Wynters and it makes us proud to think we may have contributed even a tiny bit to their success.

Nick DiVerde is Senior Director of Marketing and Customer Connection for Mitchell 1. He has been with Mitchell 1 since 1990 and through the years has held several roles, including general manager for shop management solutions. He is currently responsible for all marketing communication as well as the company’s efforts to improve its products and services through strengthened relationships with its customers.
