Sometimes you may not have the special tools to repair a customer’s vehicle but one of the most useful special tools you do have available is the SureTrack Community. SureTrack community member Jeffytune had an Audi A4 Allroad in their shop that had a starting issue and also a code related to the timing system. They posed the question to the community, and with the help of fellow community member Kg1 and others, they were able to resolve the issue quickly.
So you have a vehicle in your shop with a trouble code, you replace obviously bad parts but the code returns. The SureTrack community comes to the rescue. SureTrack community member Mlopez2008 had a GMC Terrain in their shop with a code P0017 camshaft code. They posed the question to the community, and with the help of fellow community member Markbob and others, they were able to resolve the issue quickly.
Any time a customer works on their own vehicle before bringing it to you can cause you to try and figure out if the work they did caused the problem. SureTrack community member HcTruckRepair had a Dodge Grand Caravan in their shop where the customer replaced the rocker arms and then ended up with a P0344 cam sensor code. They posed the question to the community, and with the help of fellow community member RVAAuto and others, they were able to resolve the issue quickly.
Fleets are embracing the addition of these cameras for many reasons. Cameras can improve safety by helping to identify drivers who are taking risks while driving — they can detect things like distracted driving, speeding and more. The recorded events may then be used as a training tool.
