SureTrack’s Component Test Library Does the Legwork for You
Did you know that SureTrack has an extensive component test library? Our guided tests are specific for each component and each vehicle, so you don’t have to spend a bunch of time researching and can start fixing that car in your bay much quicker.
SureTrack’s Component Test feature provides specific operational component information, including:
- How to locate the component on the vehicle
- How to set up a meter to test the component
- The best place on the vehicle to connect the meter
- Component connector pin assignments
- What measurements you should expect to see
Some of SureTrack’s component tests also include helpful tech notes with information written by experts who have been there and know the best way to go about testing the particular component you are researching.
How to Find Specific Component Test Meter Information:
- The first step to find specific component test information is to select or change a vehicle.
- Next, in the search bar you can either type in a code, symptom or a particular component. In the example below the mass airflow (MAF) sensor was typed into the search bar.
- Once you have clicked enter you can click the Component Test tab as seen below.
Below is the Component Test information for a mass airflow sensor on a 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, 4.6 L.
Pretty cool, huh?!
Let’s say you are looking for information on the MAF, and now you want to get component test information on a different component for the same vehicle. All you have to do is click the Change Component button (as shown below).
Once you click the button, you will see the screen below. Click on any component and you will be taken to the component test information for that particular component, specific to the vehicle you have selected (as seen below).
As an example, we’ll choose the O2 Sensors. Next, we will select Front O2 (B1-S1) and click, Use This Component (as seen below).
We are taken to the component test information for the oxygen sensor (B1-S1) for the 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, 4.6 L.
As you can see by just one vehicle example, there is so much information available to save you time and help you feel confident in your diagnosis when using SureTrack’s CTM library.
