New Navigation Tips in TruckSeries

At Mitchell 1, we’re always looking for ways to improve our products to meet the needs of our customers. We’ve recently added the new “Walk Me” feature to our TruckSeries truck repair software that points out tips for selections and reminders that will help you find the information you’re looking for to repair the truck in your bay.

Here’s a quick overview of what you’ll see in TruckSeries and some examples of how the Walk Me feature can help you.

Step 1: Vehicle Selection. When you’re selecting your vehicle, Walk Me will display a reminder to select an engine prior to moving forward within the program. Until you make an engine selection, the Use This Vehicle button at the bottom right will be “grayed out” and non-selectable.

Step 2: After making the engine selection, a new message will display, noting that you must select an applicable Anti-lock system and Transmission if you need information about those types of codes.  If you’re diagnosing ABS or Transmission codes, simply select the ABS System and/or Transmission in the vehicle selector, and click on the Use This Vehicle button. Note that the difference with this feature from the engine selection is that you do not have to make a selection to move forward within the program. However, if you are diagnosing ABS or Transmission Codes, selections must be made in order for the Trouble Code Repair module of TruckSeries to display the information correctly.

Step 3: Select the Trouble Code Repair Module from the main module menu.

Step 4:  From the Code Lookup screen, view the Code Lookup panel and select the appropriate System or OEM information. A list of all codes will display in a pull-down.

Step 5: Select your code from the list and proceed to the diagnostic information to follow.

That’s it! You’ve successfully navigated to the information you needed.
