Mitchell 1 Congratulates 2023 Top Tech Truck Competition Winners

Mitchell 1 congratulates the winners of the 2023 Top Tech competition, held Aug. 10-14 at the Indiana Convention Center. This prestigious event, hosted by Cox Automotive brought together 30 top techs, who rotated through multiple hands-on and knowledge-based stations testing their truck and trailer maintenance skills.

Special recognition goes to Nathan Jones for winning first place at the Mitchell 1 Service Information Skills station. As a token of our appreciation, Jones was rewarded with a well-deserved Snap-on gift card for achieving the highest score.

Here at Mitchell 1, we strive to foster dedication and expertise among automotive professionals. Nathan’s unrivaled skills in diagnosing and repairing trucks using our TruckSeries software showcased his commitment to excellence.

“Watching skilled technicians proficiently utilizing web-based information tools to perform efficient and confident vehicle repairs is truly remarkable,” said Robert Crull, Business Manager of Mitchell 1’s Commercial Vehicle Group.

Alongside Crull, David Poorman, Senior Mid-Level Sales Manager, administered the Information Skills Station quizzes to every participant. After the technicians completed their quizzes, Robert and David assessed and submitted their test papers, ensuring a fair and accurate evaluation process.

Each year, top-performing technicians across Cox Automotive compete for the coveted title of Top Tech Grand Champions. Though only three left as champions, all thirty finalists represented the highest caliber of talent in the competition.
