Many Paths to the Information You Need in ProDemand

Technology today offers so many different ways to communicate, from phones and text messages to email and social media. Depending on the situation, you choose different ways to communicate, and you probably prefer some methods over others.

At Mitchell1, we know that like communicating, you may have preferences for the way you look up repair information. That’s why ProDemand has flexibility built in and offers you three different ways to navigate to repair information: 1Search, Component Search, and Vehicle Reference. This allows you to use ProDemand the way that best suits your preferences and needs.

1Search

If you’re comfortable with Web browsing and surfing the Internet, then 1Search may be the simplest way to find information in ProDemand. With 1Search, you select your vehicle and then enter a code, component or symptom. ProDemand then returns all the information related to the vehicle and search term you entered. This includes all the TSBs, as well as SureTrack Real Fixes with real-world insights from professional technicians who have encountered the same issue on the same vehicle.

Component Search

Component Search presents the same results as 1Search, but offers a different entrance point. Through Component Search, you see a list of all components for the vehicle, so you don’t need to type it in yourself. Simply scroll through the alphabetical list and select the component you want. You can further filter the component list by selecting one of the categories on the left of the screen.

Vehicle Reference

Our third navigation method is the Vehicle Reference module. Vehicle Reference offers a drill down navigation just like our previous generation product, OnDemand5.com. In fact, the category and sub-category menu in Vehicle Reference exactly match the category and sub-category menu from OnDemand5.com. If you are used to using OnDemand5.com, this will look very familiar to you. As you drill down to your information, the experience is very much like looking through a book to find indexed information.
