Mgmt: Slow Startup / Catalog Error Msg

Question: When we start up our shop mgmt software, there is a long delay with a Windows hourglass, then a warning message displays that says "Catalog could not be started". Can we change a setting or something to prevent this? We used to have ShopCAT but not anymore.

Answer: Go to the WIP screen; press Ctrl + Alt +T keys to turn off the catalog. The dialog box will instruct you that to make the change, your mgmt software must be closed and re-started. Upon re-start, there will be no lengthy delay.

2008 Update: From the home (splash) screen, you may also change this setting by selecting Setup, Special Maintenance, Toggle Catalog Availability and turning ShopCAT Off. Click OK and it's done. Now mgmt software will startup without delays.
