How to lock a Specific Markup value for Multiple Parts in Inventory

This is a process to lock-in specific markup settings on certain parts in your inventory. This should only be done in cases where you do not want the Markup Matrix to apply to a specific set of inventory parts and wish to set a price on multiple parts in your database all at once. If you only need to effect a few parts we would suggest just manually calculating the price you wish to sell the part for, editing the part in inventory, checking user entered price, and manually typing in the price you want for that part.

  1. **BACK UP DATABASE**, this needs to be done so you can restore your database if necessary to undo changes.
  2. Open Inventory List
  3. Choose the Vendor, Category, Or manufacturer
  4. Click search Icon
  5. Once search list populates click update button at bottom of screen
  6. If vendor was not chosen in previous screen you can choose a vendor if the customer wants only a certain vendor that supplies the list populated otherwise All will apply changes to all within the populated search list
  7. Check Enable Matrix Markup and Update List Prices
  8. Click ok
  9. A pop up will appear asking if you are sure you want to make changes click YES
  10.  Open Setup and choose Standard Table – Price Markup Matrix
  11. Change ALL markup percentages to desired markup change for specific Inventoried Items
  12. Apply Matrix to inventory
  13. Repeat steps 2-6
  14. Check disable matrix markup. This will leave the markup price on the items but will change them to user entered price preventing them from being affected by any further change in Price Markup Matrix
  15. Open Setup and choose Standard Table – Price Markup Matrix
  16. Change Percentages back to what they were before the change
  17. Apply matrix inventory
  18. Double check prices on inventory items that should have been changed. If items have not changed after the change back to previous matrix percentage then you were successful
  19. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO ANY PARTS ADDED TO INVENTORY AFTER THIS PROCESS
  20. Any new parts added after this process is done then those parts would need to be handled individually or repeat this process if there is a large number of new parts
